What? TechGirls is an initiative of the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs. It is an international summer exchange program designed to empower young women from around the world to pursue careers in science and technology. In 2023, the program will support 111 young women from 35 participating countries.
The core of the TechGirls program is a 25-day experience in the United States in partnership with Virginia Tech University. Participants will engage in computer camp, then travel to one of the following cities (Austin, Chicago, Cincinnati, Denver, Detroit, or Seattle) for community and career exploration.
For whom? Girls between the ages of 15 and 17 at the start of the exchange July 8th, 2023, from countries of Sub-Saharan Africa, East Asia and Pacific, Middle East and North Africa, South and Central Asia, Western Hemisphere, Europe and Eurasia, United States of America. (Check in the website)

Solve the problems that matter most to you using technology you build yourself. Working in a team, you'll find a problem in your community and build a tech product to solve it. Along the way, you'll develop your collaboration, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
You will form a team of girls, define a problem, create a solution by developing a mobile app, write a business plan and pitch your project.
The program is virtual and free; the winners are invited to the USA, Silicon Valley. You will get access to a program's curriculum, and develop all the skills needed.

What? UniSat's goal is to popularize science, space technology, STEM education and raise awareness of the gender issue in technological areas among the young girls. Participants will learn how to assemble and launch a real CubeSat nanosatellite into the stratosphere from leading specialists in the field of software and hardware development, gain knowledge on 3D modeling of space technology, design communication control units and the basics of Linux programming.
For whom? Girls from 14 to 25 years old from any region of Uzbekistan/Kazakhstan can register. No special education and skills are required.

A free two-week summer program for young women and non-binary individuals ages 13 – 18 will teach you to build real-life apps whether you’ve never written a line of code or you’re a full-fledged hacker. Both in-person (U.S.) and virtual experiences are offered.
No previous computer science experience is necessary to participate in any curricular offering.
Camps include activities outside of just direct learning, including hosting inspirational women in technology as part of a speaker series. All camps conclude with “demo days” where scholars are able to showcase their final projects.
